Kimberley redux

While I figure out just how much integration with Flickr I feel like wrangling, I’m going to tuck the pics from the Kimberley adventure right here.  I know, you’ve probably already seen these from before the blog got overhauled, but for the moment I’ve booted Flickr out in favour of keeping everything in one place.  That’s still under review, so don’t go getting comfortable.  I still would like to get the story down as well, but as I said before, I need another brain to help out.  So, pics first, stories later.

IronMan

still messy, still up at 5am

IronManI don’t know what I’m doing up at 5 in the morning again.  This seems to be what I do – I get offline from my usual Skype with Marjorie and spend another three or four hours unwinding from that high with stuff I don’t have time to do during the day, like tinker with the ol’ bloggy blog.  So that should sort itself out when she’s here.

Meanwhile, I’ve learned more about PHP and WP exploits in the past month than I ever had the slightest interest in knowing.  But the various properties under my jurisdiction are scrubbed and clean again.  And hopefully a little more robust in the security department.  This new look for the blog is stretched out from the default that comes with WordPress, so it looks a little basic.  No rounded corners or flashy bits.  But it will do for now.

Speaking of new, yes that is me up there wearing a camera stabilization rig.  Steadicam, as the parlance goes.  It means moving shots with no shuddering footsteps.  It means we can now get on with some of our more creative shots.  It’s not quite the dolly on rails, but it’s the next best thing.  Features have been made with less.  And we have more.

Did I mention we have a finished script for our pilot?  If it’s still making us laugh, it must be solid.  You really want to read it.  You really really want to watch it.  Now… we get to work on some extra bits that fit in around the edges (top secret) and our next projects – another series and a feature.  If you like metaphors, we are loading the guns.
