friday, in the nick of time

Thanks to all who came out last night. I love what I do. Look forward to more Dirty on Dirty Thursday. Wooha!

On the mental notepad for this weekend:

– get a pic of a cruise ship at Canada Place at all costs
– get a pic of my foot clearly embarking on a BC Ferry, also at any cost

=)

– get a new necklace and a ring. These ones need to be retired, because I’m sentimental that way. Possibly also in the market for a nice watch.
– consider buying new black shoes. These ones are looking a little lived-in.
– find some new club shirts. I have a club again.
– most importantly: spend some HQ time with the Vancouver crew, who I have been neglecting, selfish bastard that I am. Migs: let’s DO IT UP!

So looking forward to a couple days off. I’m not coming back to work til Wednesday, and that’s final.

FF: Whut’s in a nizzame?

1. Is the name you have now the same name that’s on your birth certificate? If not, what’s changed?

Still me.

2. If you could change your name (first, middle and/or last), what would it be?

I’m pretty happy with it. The irony was delicious when I was working at Wharfside. A bartender named Adrian Taverner at a seaside restaurant is endlessly amusing to me. I may one day adopt a middle name for fun, or make up something amusing if I start showing up in movie credits on a more regular basis. Garbagio? Satan? Guido Valducci? Lemur?

3. Why were you named what you were? (Is there a story behind it? Who specifically was responsible for naming you?)

My parents wanted something not too common, and nothing biblical. I also think they were hedging their bets in case they had a girl. If there’s more to the story, I haven’t heard it, but here’s the official invite to my mom to post a comment with the details.

4. Are there any names you really hate or love? What are they and why?

Lots. Mostly by association. Not a fan: Bush. Hitler. Liberace. =)

5. Is the analysis of your name at kabalarians.com / triggur.org / astroexpert accurate? How or how isn’t it?

Whut? We’re endorsing other sites now? Hmm… Not sure how I feel about that. Anyway, too much work. I’ll save these for when I’m wasting work hours on something besides Friday Five. =)

Did I mention I saw the djmischiff gear thong IRL? Very hot. I can say no more. My honour as a gentleman prevents. But- HAWT!
