we wanna win

It’s been a hella new year so far. Had the best NYE ever with some fab folk. Came back to work feeling uber-positive about continuing our plot to take over the world (and being good guys about it). Looking forward to the best year of my life yet.

Speedbump- The mighty Wombat announced he’d be leaving the Mill. Now, hang on a sec. Why on Earth would anyone leave the Mill? This is the place where Work Doesn’t Suck. This is the place most people are willing to kill to be a part of. (sorry y’all. we just don’t hire the killin’ type) So why would anyone leave, knowing full well that that can only mean entering the cold, cruel, frustratingly stoopid world? What could the World Of Drone Employment have to offer?

He’s going surfing in Baja for a few months.

Fair enough.

We’ll miss you, brother, but I understand you’ve gotta follow your heart.

But aside from that sad twist, things are moving at the Mill like never before. We hired four new crew- five if you still count Nick. Three code-killers, a sales shark, and a design guru. After Blake leaves the fold our staff will be twelve strong. Off the top of your head, how many four year old private companies do you know with a staff that size? We’re young, but in web-years we’re old school.

And the energy there right now is something else.

Two divisions. Two massive projects we’re totally excited about. Fresh thinking. Exploiting opportunity. Getting organized. Long term goals. Cohesive vision. An awareness of our strengths and an active attack on our weaknesses. We wanna win.

Good times, kids. Good times. Coming soon- Earth, a Wondermill project.
