Turns out Thomas isn’t eight. He’s only a year and nine months. That makes so much more sense to us. We’ve been wondering about his young size & build (but there are small adult cats out there). And he’s not actually Thomas, either, but he’s accepted the name so he’s keeping it. The SPCA called to explain a paperwork mixup (very much in our favour).
He’s young and energetic and curious and talkative and all the things young cats should be, so it’s a bit of a relief to find out he’s actually a young cat, and not the Highlander. ’cause that would be wierd and we’d have to rename him MacThomas if that was alright by him.
We’ll let you know when his new papers arrive. There may not be too much to tell, though. He was probably a rescued stray. Lucky sod landed on his feet, didn’t he?
