or – “why i got out of the dj scene“
These days I would take a pub over a club every time. Almost every time. Practically.

Or, it is just part of growing up.
I’d say it wasn’t different back then, minus the email / SMS (in North America) and the Hip-Hop.
But as the saying goes: “The more things change, the more things stay the same.”
As thus, in 10 years we’ll have someone in their mid-twenties who’s partying it up right now in said club lament the same things as Moby is right now.
Well, yes. That’s kinda what I’m getting at, but more so in that moby and I both work(ed) inside the industry, thus making us hyper-involved and doubly tired of the same tragic posing, year after year, generation after generation. It’s only fun the first time through, for everybody. Mine just happened to last 14 years and I got well paid for it.
So like a prostitute you don’t like Sex anymore, aehm. I mean Partying ;)
See, too much of a good thing makes you not want the thing anymore.
But hey, what am I saying, I never was in the Club scene, the poseurs etc. just were never my thing.
