coward after the stoopid fact

In a move of classic Bush style, Harper has dodged facing the reality of a situation he has created. In spite of a calendar full of global travel, including being practically right there anyway, Harper is saying he’s too busy and his government is too precarious for him to attend a Canada-EU summit. This announcement coming close on the heels of the addition of a discussion of Kyoto goals, one can only assume he’d rather run like Bush than defend his cabinet’s decision to soak Canada (and the world) in more unchecked pollutants for the next fifty years.

He’s right about one thing- his minority government is precarious. And stoopid.

Meanwhile, the quaint old world over there is making us worldly types over here look pretty stupid by accepting responsibility and moving to act, and questioning why we aren’t doing the same.
