With all the current press about global warming and the continuing ambivalence of most governments and corporations it certainly won’t be long before Dihydrogen Monoxide becomes an unavoidable issue. Scientists have known about the potentially deadly effects of DHMO for decades but, as the website points out, governments and corporations have ignorantly or willingly continued to use the compound in large quantities for everything from styrofoam to nuclear powerplants. The substance is almost certainly used in many products in your own home- far, far more pervasive than asbestos. Over the past few years a very few concerned citizens have petitioned for stricter controls or even banning its use, but so far none of the Big Money people are willing to treat the threat as anything but a joke.
