As it turns out I did considerably more on the project than just location recordist and stills. My business card is beginning to look a little ridiculous.
The short has been submitted to the Toronto Film Festival. We’ll hear back about that near the end of June. Fingers are crossed but we aren’t standing still. There are several very high profile festivals on our list, and we’re sending a copy to the desk of Zoetrope in the hopes we’ll get an official nod from Coppola. Why not, right?
It looks gorgeous. It sounds gorgeous. It may or may not have cost $80,000. Anyone who knows Apocalypse Now will love this film. Anyone who has yet to see Apocalypse Now will still love this film. It’s engrossing. It’s thrilling. It’s frickin’ hilarious. Seriously. I’ve seen the finished version at least a dozen times and I still LOL.
I wouldn’t trade this life I’m having. Not much could make me happier.
