Speaking of the undead, Victoria filmmaker Andrew Currie shoveled a record (for Canadian independent film) eleven million dollar budget into Fido [Globe and Mail article]. Starring Carrie-Anne Moss and Billy Connolly, Fido [imdb article] seems to launch well past “independent artsy” and deep into “commercial watchability”.
With a very strong cast and an intriguing story line, I think this is one to look forward to.
