How was your weekend? I didn’t run in the Times-Colonist 10k on Sunday but I did run 4k today. Maybe I’ll get up to 10k sometime this summer. Could happen. Huge congrats to all my friends that did cross the finish line.

I mentioned a couple weeks ago that I would publish some more images while AdrianTaverner.ca gets built. I’ve been hearing that going through over 2000 images is a daunting task for even the most ardent supporter of my work. Fair enough, but maybe 89 more will cheer you up. =)

There’s no rhyme or reason to these new images. Some of them will be in the portfolio and some I’m just posting because they’re fun. Some are over a year old and a few are only a few weeks old. They aren’t even in chronological order, particularly. Once I do get AdrianTaverner.ca launched I’ll be able to feature the more polished images over there and keep djmischiff.com/gallery for personal and fun photos.

This new set is really just to give you something fresh to look at. Ideally, of course, you’ll see something that turns your crank and you’ll absolutely have to have it as huge as you can possibly afford. That would be nice. Oh, the price list? (In addition to the continuing $20 sale on 8x10s)

I’m thinking of starting a registry off to the side of AdrianTaverner.ca, where I would record info like who bought what picture when, and what number it was if in series. I think this could be a real asset down the road if I somehow do the impossible and acquire some notoriety as a photographer. Not so much an asset for me as for future buyers & collectors. I guess that sounds like hubris but imagine if artists do that sort of thing from now on and the record is updated when pictures change hands. No more forgeries. What’s that called- the record of owners across time… there’s a name for it… I dunno. Anyway, what do you think? If you bought a picture would you want your name to be added to the list? No contact info, necessarily. Just a registry. A common certificate of authenticity.

Just a thought.

You know what’s a little weird for me? Aggregators. The one at metroblogs.net is fine because we pretty much all know each other. But a new one over here is a little unsettling. Not because Jon is in any way unsettling. I think the idea is a worthy one which a few of us occasionally dust off and try to tackle in a slightly different way on a slightly larger scale over at blogBC.com. It’s just weird to think that I sometimes have a reader getting all this completely out of context. Once in a while I will be talking about something that will have no meaning to the reader because they have no relationship with me, not even so far as to actually be at my site. I guess it’s just the next stage after getting used to the idea that people I’ve never met may be regular readers. Is there any way to track these feeds? Just for curiosity’s sake.

Somehow it got to be 4am and there’s another 4k to be run tomorrow. And improv. And graphics work for a pub which will definitely take up the better part of my day. Hey! I cleared rent over the weekend (thank YOU for buying a fine art print or two!) so I’m entertaining fantasies of buying a grocery.

All after a good night’s sleep. [muah]
