Personally, I like the Archie one better, it’s fun, and exciting and people can relate to it easier! Everyone knows Archie, and the gang!!
You could even use the poster to your advantage and maybe have a ‘Archie’s theme night’ where all the girls have to try and dress either like Betty or Veronica, and the guys could do whatever. Haha.
This one gives me WAY more ideas to work with than the previous one.
And if you need any ideas, please feel free to ask me, I’ve always got something :).

Personally, I prefer the second one :) I remember begging my Mom to buy me that particular poster out of the comic mag. Love Betty’s tat :)

I like this one way more -> The fonts on the other one were a little distracting. Plus the black + white will be way cheaper to print. I don’t know how well the other poster would translate to grey-scale. You know, working on the assumption they are just going to be run off on a photocopier.

Just for Dave’s edification I normally do two versions of a design: one for full colour, which generally only gets used in-house and a few indoor spots around town; and a grayscale version for the main run, which plasters the usual legal ad spaces downtown. The Archie design might see a colour version for in-house, but it might work just fine like this. We’ll see what management has to say tonight.

girl here… liking the archie one more! makes me want to flirt with someone. i didn’t ‘get’ the last one and found it tricky to read but didn’t want to say anything in case i hurt your feelings… i’m a little oversensitive right now : )
No worries at all. Steve suggested not everyone would get the Space Invaders reference and that’s totally fine. I sometimes live in my own little world of inside jokes. =) Glad you like the Archie.
the archie one is a winner because
1) it is truly retro,
2) it’s accessibly retro,
3) hawt 3some action with blonde and brunette,
4) mischiff tattoo on betty is hawt,
5) they’re actually drinking,
6) they appear to be at a bar,
7) they’re all having fun
8) love is in the air,
9) love is tempting and attractive, and
10) it appears they all like to share good head.
