So how was your Xmas? Lots of time with the fam? Visiting friends? I’ve been up around Qualicum with the fam (taking pictures of waterfalls among other things). Six of us in the cozy little house on the water. I haven’t seen my sister in a couple years and we really needed the catch-up time, and I’ve been patiently waiting to get to know her husband Paul a little better (they’ve been married five years!) so this holiday has been a long time coming.
I zoomed off just in time for Xmas Eve and only got back yesterday. I took a couple hundred pics and I’ll get a few of those up over the next few days. The bulk of them will have to get queued up with the rest. Speaking of The Rest I am working my way through them. I’m picking out the ones I think should be included in a professional portfolio. If you have some favorites let me know, please!
NYE is tomorrow. I’m working. Not spinning, just helping out. I agreed to jump in and not two days later I got an invite to a very cool evening I wish I could be a part of. Figures. But I could use the money at this stage of the game so I suppose it’s all working out the way it has to. Here’s hoping the rest of you have a fabulous time too.
Oooo! Lookit that. Czechs over USA, 3 to 1. And right on the heels of an 8-1 crushing defeat from Canada over Finland. Looks like it’s going to be Russia vs Canada in the finals. You see if I’m wrong. It would be nice to see Canada vs USA in the final game, but I don’t see it happening with the tepid yank performance.
I need some food. Here’s to a very happy new year for you all if I don’t talk to you in the next 24 hours or so.
