goings on

jennings

It was only Friday when my aunt & uncle came with the ‘rents to visit for the afternoon. Haven’t seen Janet & Charlie for about a hojillion years so even though our visit was brief it was deeply appreciated. I renewed my vow to get down to Australia. They wanted to know why I would want to go there when BC is so out of this world gorgeous. All true, but the hotties here don’t have accents. rowr.

And that was Friday. Since then I’ve shot about 200 frames, according to the ol’ memory cards. A lot of those were at the improv workshop the Impromaniacs did with published author and improv great Randy Dixon, but the light wasn’t great and I wasn’t paying close enough attention to my settings, so only a few of those shots will be salvable. Randy was awesome though. He stressed that we already know all this stuff as natural storytellers, we just don’t trust it. He gave me lots to think about. And work on. Those pics are coming soon, right behind more Soundwave pics (tomorrow night, I promise) and all the other pics I’m working on (the jury is still out on whether I should post the pics from Saturday night). Believe it or not: I am catching up.

So today was hot. Crazy hot day to be working outside… with sun-seared stone… building stairs… in the hot hot heat. Strange what the heat does to the human mind…

But all turned out well in the end. We finished the day up at the lake with some of the Gurton clan. And Becca, who is cool. Oh, and here is a pic of my nuts receiving 200 pounds of impact pressure:

Ahhh summer.
