Here’s the email I sent to the apparent ISP. I’ve edited the copy of the original spam comment to remove the links, obviously:
A search for the owner of the IP used to spam my blog has revealed you to be the apparent source. Enclosed here is a copy of the original blog comment and my response to it. The IP has been blocked from my domain, and any further unsolicited commercial action taken by the offending domains in my direction will be met with the appropriate next step. I am publicly naming you as hosting this domain and I sincerely hope not to have cause to take this any further.
Obviously it is in your own interest to take immediate steps to ensure this. Blog spamming is utterly pointless and a waste of everyone’s time and energy. I would rather make your life miserable than continue to have my life made miserable by a spammer whose IP is registered as being owned by your company.
