Yes, I’m laughing my head off. But in spite of that, I don’t think he’ll do a bad job. I think he’s smart enough to get a capable staff under him. He’ll be the face, and his administration will do the job.

I’m still laughing. More proof that you don’t need an ounce of ability to govern in the ol’ USA. Just money and exposure. To be fair I think this is true over most of the world where people are allowed to ellect their own leaders. People are drawn to the familiar. It’s primal- you trust those you know, even if you should know perfectly well that you have no idea who this person is in real life. You’ve seen him stomp the bad guys a hundred times, and he always does the right thing even if he has to break a few heads to do it. So while I think California should know better, I don’t really blame them.

After all, they’re living my mantra: “Don’t ever take life too seriously”.

  1. I don’t think he will do a bad job either and we should all be happy the porn star didn’t win. (I just said that right?)

I did see Ahnolt and Maria on a snip from Oprah and I was quite impressed with what he had to say about family values and such. (of course he wouldn’t say anything bad) but even though they are super loaded he makes their kids do their own laundry and clear the table. That sort of thing. Hell I know people in Victoria that have never done that.

I guess we’ll have to sit back and see just what a governor can do.

    COMMENT:
All I know about Arnie is that he’s a smart guy in real life, despite his movies. *grin* So yeah, knowing nothing much at all, I guess I’d agree.

About the familiarity drive, it’s fascinating stuff innit? We trust what we know and see. That’s why we buy Tide laundry soap and Colgate toothpaste. Or was that Crest…

    :)

  2. Ethos, Pathos and Logos.

I found his addresses to the public absolutely fantastic. His genuine love for his country, even if not his native one.

  3. pseudopsychology

not to mention, in the debate, when the female he was set against basically called him out for ‘disrespect to women’…he said he had a ‘great part for her in his next movie’.

Did anyone else catch the implied movie violence death threat?
