A lot of us have seen this comic strip before (repriinted here totally without permission, but I figure he’d rather I did the hosting anyway). It’s Bob, the Angry Flower. His message here is simple and universal, and he has our best interests at heart.
Please. Take heed, my friends. He’s trying to save lives.

a funny one from angryflower. :)
COMMENT:
do you mind emailing that to the contents of my supposedly literate address book? but then, I think I’m just anal retentive, because I get so irked over the weirdest stuff.
This is true. Sadly many people don’t understand proper use of the apostrophe. I got dinged one too many times (usually using “it’s” instead of “its”, etc) on reports that I’m quite careful with it.
Blah… I love complete disregard for grammar and punctuation’s
Hahhaha… that is hilarious.

Yea, “its” is a weird one. If I remember correctly, you don’t use an apostrophe with “its” in a possessive form, only as a contraction.
or I’m way off. One or the other.
I love the Ruthlessly Pedantic.
That’s correct. The only time you see “It’s” is when it would otherwise read “It is”. ONLY ONLY.
Yes, there’s always that one. How could that have slipped my mind?
You ahh teh winnahhh!
One of my favorites is 80’s. Who’s 80? And what’s he got? He’s… what?
I suppose you might get away with “The music belonging to 1980-1989” as “The 80’s music” but that’s reaching. And weird.
…or CD’s. NOOOOOO.
(And DJ… the one other time you can use “It’s” is when you are describing something belonging to Cousin It, of Addam’s Family fame.)
