Vroom

So Aaron (I keep calling him Dub-A, or AA, or Double-A, or sometimes even my boss) started a blog at about the same time I did. And now it’s a bit of a friendly competition. He improves a bit, I improve a bit. I’m a dj so I have to use a dark theme; he’s Day-People so he has to have the bright site. And he knows a lot more about html than I do.

Last night he added those little coloured bubbles, so I went out and found those nifty lights I added to the djmischiff gear link over there —->

And as soon as I figure out how to do it, I’ve got this great mirror ball gif that has to go in here somewhere, as long as it doesn’t look tres fromage.

See, it’s become a challenge. I really want to know html and such so I can make the blog look the way I want it too. Even the encouraging types out there have to admit it could use polish. It’s a long way from looking good enough for me. Damn perfectionism.

But I’m getting there. Doing alright considering I can give it about an hour a week these days.

I also want to know web design well enough to throw down artistically in the business sense. Everyone and their dog is learning web design these days, but I like to think I could bring some creativity and talent to the table as well. Have you seen half the sites out there? Clearly the dogs are doing most of the design. And at the Mill I could definitely make use of the knowledge. We’ve got some major projects in the works. Very exciting times.

What? Three-thirty in the morning? Alright, fine. I’m going to bed. But I’ll be back!

  1. Dig them lights, dj! You’ve definitely got the artistic touch. I’ve seen ‘Silver Dragon’, and the logo work you can do. Good times ahead.

(And no, that wasn’t ‘beer whistle sound’! hahah)
