U2@NY

As promised, here’s what I salvaged from the pics shot (my iPhone and Chris’s little Powershot) at the U2 show September 24 at Giants Stadium across the crick in New Jersey. (and by show I mean religious experience)

We ended up behind the stage, which we dismissed at the time because we were under the impression that the 360 tour involved a rotating stage. Not so, as it turned out (or didn’t turn, as the case may be). But the lads were friendly and swung past us many times on the catwalks. We didn’t feel left out at all. Especially not with ten stories or so of light and video.

Imagine a scruffy-faced fella, well over 200 pounds, singing at the very tip top of his lungs through a face-splitting grin for over two hours. Best. Show. Ever. Just don’t ask me to tell you about it. Bit of a scratchy voice still.

religion

Tonight I walked to the mountain, and The Truth was laid before me, pure and distilled. It filled me, and I was made anew.

Also, there were beer and snacks.

More later, after sleeps. Thank you, U2, for doing what you do.

ground zero

Post production ground zero, anyway. Compared to this Flying Fortress of the Future (Lee’s picture edit suite) my audio edit suite is more of a Eurofighter Typhoon… also of the future. By necessity, I have to be pretty mobile. Pretty compact and efficient. Wait til you see it once it’s landed. Oh momma. Hmm. This is right where I need a pic of my edit suite. Awkward.

Umhey! Lookit all those drives! So pretty. Hello, baby Skynet.
